The social partnership agreement, ‘Towards 2016’, recognised the need to develop a shared understanding of the challenges facing the manufacturing sector. A High Level Group was subsequently established to consider and identify measures to meet those challenges. This report identifies the focused actions needed by employers, employees and Government to respond to the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities to further develop the manufacturing sector in Ireland.
