The availability of high quality broadband is strategically important to improving the productivity of the Irish workforce, facilitating innovation and job creation, improving our status as an attractive location for foreign direct investment and enabling Irish firms to compete in international markets.
This report focuses on the key indicators of Ireland’s current broadband performance, highlights Ireland’s position regarding the development of next generation networks (NGNs) and recommends policy actions that are required to underpin a true knowledge economy.
